After waiting overnight, our team was granted access to the strike site in central Kabul. Inspection found no traces of blood or significant structural damage, and there were no reported casualties by ZAWIA News, Afghan Times, or other outlets. Although authorities of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan claimed the strike targeted a rehabilitation center, our observers found no evidence to support this claim. Only minor structural damage and fire-related effects were visible. Several people were present; a few agreed to interviews and stated that the blast occurred a little further away and not at this location, supporting the team’s sense of safety. Local sources confirmed that the impact remained limited to the immediate area affected by flames. The site appeared otherwise intact, with no injured individuals observed. Some sources suggested the fire near the rehabilitation center was minor and possibly caused by a nearby Taliban military camp struck by Pakistan. The attack was reportedly explosive, with flames from ammunition observed at the site.
