According to the update, a Pakistani military airstrike struck the central section of Kandahar's 205 Al-Badr Corps. The strike injured Corps Chief of Staff Haji Mullah Yaser, a resident of Chora District in Uruzgan Province and a former Taliban police chief of Herat Province. Two guards assigned to the central section were killed: Qari Muhammad Shafiq Omari from Panjwayi District, Kandahar Province, and Hazrat Wali, son of Ghulam Sarwar, from Babaji District, Helmand Province.
