Pakistan Security Forces conducted retaliatory operations against the Afghan Taliban and its proxy, Fitna Al Khawarij, along the Pak-Afghan border in the South Waziristan Sector on 18 March 2026. The campaign targeted terrorist hideouts from Shawal to Zarmalan, resulting in the comprehensive destruction of safe havens and fire positions. As a result, hostile elements were left in disarray and forced to retreat in a disorderly fashion. The operation underscores ongoing counterterrorism efforts to disrupt cross-border militant networks and restore security in border regions.
