Breaking News: Reports of heavy clashes in the Kurram-Paktia sector along the Pak-Afghan border overnight on 5/6 March. According to sources, Taliban forces, supported by Pakistani Taliban fighters, conducted 10 large-scale ground assaults and around 20 major fire raids across the front. The Pakistani forces were repelling all attacks and inflicting heavy losses on Afghan troops. Pakistani sources estimate that 6,065 Taliban militants killed and 7,580 injured during the night-long clashes. During the fighting, one Pakistani soldier died, while three were injured. Reports also suggest declining morale among Taliban fighters, who continue to suffer heavy losses whenever they attempt actions against border posts. Pro-Taliban social media accounts reportedly celebrated supposed successes, though no official statement has yet been issued by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
